Police have charged a 44 year old Halls Creek man after he allegedly failed to self-quarantine after arriving at Kununurra airport from interstate on 29 June 2020. The man was subjected to a Self-Quarantine Direction for 14 days.
It will be alleged that the man attended a gym and a licensed premises in Kununurra on Tuesday 30 June 2020. He was spoken to by police officers and was again told to immediately self-quarantine. He was then seen to enter another licenced premises nearby.
He has been issued an infringement with Fail to comply with a direction under the Emergency Management Act.
