Break and enter charge, Dakabin

A 33-year-old Deception Bay man has been charged with one count of enter premise and commit indictable offence by break, in relation to the alleged stealing of a puppy from a Dakabin facility on Saturday March 19.

It will be alleged that at approximately 2am a power tool was used to break in to the Goodwin Road facility and an enclosure, where the 4-month-old puppy named Cashew was stolen.

On Wednesday March 23 investigations lead police to a Mango Hill address where Cashew was located safe but in need of veterinary treatment.

Yesterday afternoon (Friday March 25) police attended a Deception Bay address, where a 33-year-old man was located.

He voluntarily accompanied police to Redcliffe Watchhouse, where he was charged.

The man was given bail on strict conditions and is expected to appear before Redcliffe Magistrates Court on April 6.
