Burglary with violence at Broadbeach Waters, QLD

Police are investigating a burglary where a male resident of a house was confronted by two males armed with weapons at a residence at Broadbeach Waters yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Around 2.30pm a 14-year-old boy had been in his bedroom when he heard noises inside the house. When he went to investigate he was confronted by two males wearing balaclavas, one armed with a knife and the other with a machete.

The males demanded property and stole items from the house before fleeing.

The boy was not physically injured during the incident.

Police investigations are ongoing.
