Cairns processed the third highest amount of development approvals in Queensland for the December 2021 quarter.
The UDIA Development Assessment Monitoring Dashboard ranked Cairns behind only Brisbane and the Gold Coast, but above a number of south-east Queensland councils, including Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Logan, Sunshine Coast and Redland.
Brisbane processed 2304 development applications in December 2021 quarter, Gold Coast 1239, and Cairns 407. This compared to 226 in Toowoomba and 111 in Townsville.
