The Nordic network for non-fictional prose are planning a special number of the journal Text & Talk, and invite contributions focusing on non-fictional prose ("sakprosa") in a Nordic context. The Nordic countries have different traditions for non-fiction research. Norway and Sweden have both had major non-fiction projects, but the term "sakprosa" has almost fallen out of use in Sweden, while in remains popular in Norway. In Denmark non-fiction research is more marginal, but the interest has increased among certain groups in recent years. In Finland there is a professorship for research on non-fictional prose, and the Nordic network for non-fictional prose was a Finnish initiative.

Abstracts are to be written in English, and may not exceed 400 words. The deadline is June 30, and abstracts should be sent to the editorial staff of the journal Sakprosa at [email protected].
