Timboon district residents are encouraged to get passionate about the town's future and bring their excitement to the Timboon Reactivate September Forum.

The event will be from 7 -8:30 pm on Wednesday 28 September at the Timboon Senior Citizens Centre.

South-West Ward Councillor Kate Makin said the forum aimed to put locals in the driver's seat.

"This is an opportunity to get all sections of the community on the same page about what Timboon needs and what residents' top priorities are for investment," Cr Makin said.

"What are your dreams and ambitions for Timboon? How are we all going to work together to make them reality?

Cr Makin said the previous forum in June was a productive conversation.

"It came up with almost 50 ideas from beautifying the town centre to environmental projects and developing new events," she said.

"Our community is set to grow in the coming years and it's really important to have residents involved at every step of the way.

"The September forum is an opportunity to discuss these ideas and also run through the valuable contribution that Timboon Action makes in bringing these projects to life in the community."

Cr Makin said Timboon Action was planning to hold its AGM in October and she encouraged residents to put their hand up.

"A lot of people at Timboon Action have put in huge effort over a long time. We can't keep relying on the same people year after year.

"It would be great to get some new blood with fresh energy to help get things done."

Cr Makin said the forum would be a chance for the community to stay up to date with the progress of Council and community-led projects in Timboon including:
