Tomorrow at 12:10 am PT, MARMOTSat, a CubeSat designed and built by students at the University of Victoria, will launch into space aboard SpaceX's Transporter-17 rideshare mission. The satellite will then be deployed into a special orbit for consistent Earth observations.
MARMOTSat is one of nine miniature satellite projects supported through the Canadian Space Agency (CSA)'s CubeSats Initiative in Canada for STEM (CUBICS), which provides hands-on experience in space science and technology to the next generation of Canadian space professionals.
