RMIT has been notified of a cyber incident impacting the Canvas learning management system.
Canvas is a learning platform used by many universities across the world, including RMIT.
Instructure, the vendor of Canvas, has confirmed that RMIT data has been impacted by a cyber security breach. We are working with the vendor to understand any impacts as a result of this breach.
Canvas is currently not accessible to students or staff. We do not know how long Canvas will be unavailable.
We are working together across Commonwealth and State and Territory government departments and operational agencies, with peak bodies and impacted organisations to collectively support the national response to this incident.
