Car into dam, woman dies near Forster, NSW

A woman has died following a fatal single-vehicle crash on the state’s Mid North Coast today, NSW Police say.

About 7am (Monday 3 September 2018), police were called to a dam off Bunyah Road, Bunyah, about 20km west of Nabiac, following reports a Suzuki Vitara 4WD was submerged in water.

Police have been told the vehicle left the road and hit an embankment, entering a dam.

Police divers attended and located the body of a 45-year-old woman inside the vehicle.

Officers from Manning Great Lakes Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information about the incident is urged to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
