Car into tree; man injured at Appin

A man has been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in the state's south-west.

About 5.45am (Sunday 5 May 2019), emergency services were called to Appin Road, about 2km north of the Appin township, following reports a single-vehicle had crashed into a tree.

The sole-occupant and driver of the Nissan Navara was trapped, before being released by Fire & Rescue NSW and treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The 32-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
