The December Council Meeting saw the Quarterly Community Report for July to September 2025, the first report under the Council Plan 2025-29 endorsed.
Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said the report demonstrates Council's commitment to delivering outcomes that matter to the community.
"This first quarterly report shows how we are turning our Council Plan into action. From inclusive programs and cultural celebrations to improved connectivity and digital services, we are working hard to create a city that is connected and accessible for everyone.
Key highlights from the quarter include:
• Maternal and Child Health participation hit 42.2%, supporting early years development together.
• $14M invested in community spaces, sports pavilions, playgrounds, and essential infrastructure. Including Springleaf Recreation Reserve development, Ballarto Road Family and Community Centre, Robert Booth Reserve Tennis Pavilion renewal, and completion of road rehabilitation works at Beldale Court.
• 15,642 trees and tube stock planted - greener streets, cooler neighborhoods
• 320 business engagements through workshops and concierge services - building skills and connections.
• Safe Around Schools: more than 200 crossing supervisors trained, safety education delivered.
• Graffiti removal success - over 51,000m² cleaned this year!
Community engagement remains strong, with 18,826 visitors to the Casey Conversations platform and 2,013 feedback submissions received.
Round two of engagement on the proposed Community Local Law 2025 attracted 74 submissions, with the final draft to be presented for endorsement in December 2025 and implementation expected in early 2026.
Mayor Koomen added "Councillors are back at the City of Casey and each of us share a passion to see real action delivered for our community. The results of the first quarter are just a taste of what's to come."
