The City of Casey is calling on residents to have their say, with the rollout of the 2026 Household Health and Wellbeing Survey next month.
Delivered annually to a select number of households, the survey plays a critical role in helping Council understand the real health and wellbeing needs of Casey's large and diverse community - right down to a suburb-by-suburb level. The insights gathered help guide Council's decision-making, strategic priorities, and the planning of programs and services that directly support residents.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said the survey is an important way Council listens to its community.
"The experience of our residents shared through this survey helps shape the future of health and wellbeing in Casey. We want to know about your health and wellbeing, connection to community and what services and activities you participate in - so we can better plan for the needs of our community," Cr Koomen said.
"If you're invited to take part, please do - it's your chance to help shape a healthier more connected Casey."
Randomly selected households across all wards will receive the anonymous survey via email or post over the coming weeks. The survey draws on the Social Determinants of Health model, considering a wide range of factors that influence wellbeing. The 2026 survey will cover topics including life satisfaction, emergency preparedness, community connection, sport, hobbies and volunteering, access to health services and food and exercise.
Households are asked to keep an eye on their letterbox or inbox over the coming weeks.
