As part of its commitment to border modernization, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is pleased to announce that following an open, transparent and competitive procurement process, contracts have been awarded to Pomerleau Inc. for construction management services and Provencher Roy + Associés Architectes Inc. for architecture and engineering services for the work to be completed at the St-Bernard-de-Lacolle port of entry.
St-Bernard-de-Lacolle is a full service port of entry located in the Montérégie Border District of Quebec and is a key crossing between Canada and the United States. The modernization of this port of entry will improve the border crossing experience for travellers and provide border services officers with upgraded infrastructure and technology.
On behalf of the CBSA, Public Services and Procurement Canada led the competitive procurement process and will manage the project.
As an important part of the project, the CBSA is engaging with Indigenous communities and working closely with various orders of government, industry stakeholders, as well as U.S. counterparts.
The St-Bernard-de-Lacolle redevelopment is part of the agency's Land Border Crossing Project, a plan to renew and upgrade a number of Canadian land ports of entry across the country.
