Charges over aggravated kidnapping in Yagoona

Two men have been charged following investigations into an alleged kidnapping and affray that occurred in Yagoona earlier this week. , NSW Police say>

About 5.30pm on Tuesday 21 August 2018, police will allege two men, aged 44 and 49, attended a home on Warringa Street, Yagoona, and threatened a 30-year-old man.

It’s further alleged the two men forced the younger man into a vehicle, threatening him with a firearm while driving through the streets of Yagoona.

The man managed to escape from the vehicle, and he was allegedly chased and assaulted.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were informed and an investigation was commenced leading to the arrest of two men at Bankstown Police Station yesterday.

Both men were charged with aggravated kidnapping, assault, and affray.

They have been bail refused and will appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 24 August 2018).

Investigations continue as officers believe there may have been a third person involved.
