Chevening is the UK Government's prestigious international scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The programme supports outstanding individuals with the potential to become future leaders, decision-makers, and changemakers in their fields.
For more than 40 years, Chevening has helped build a diverse and inclusive global network of professionals committed to creating a more resilient, prosperous, and sustainable future in partnership with the UK.
The programme offers fully funded one-year master's degrees at UK universities to individuals ready to join a global network of future leaders, equipped with world-class knowledge, UK connections, and shared values to address global challenges and drive sustainable development in their communities and beyond.
Applicants from Türkiye are encouraged to apply for programmes of study aligned with the following priority areas:

- Supporting development for more inclusive and effective societies

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:
- Be a citizen or resident of Türkiye
- Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends.
- Have at least two years' work experience, acquired after completing your undergraduate degree, equivalent to 2,800 hours.
- Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master's programme. You must have finished your undergraduate studies at least two years before our application deadline, even if you have not yet received your certificate. However, you will need to have your certificate by the time of your interview.
- Apply to three different and eligible UK university courses . You must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by 8 July 2027 at 17:00 BST (UK time).
*Candidates must meet all requirements of their chosen university, including the English language requirement, and secure an unconditional offer from one of their three course choices by the Chevening deadline.
