Chip your pet for free

If you are a Central Coast resident, bring your dog or cat to our SOCARES run Animal Care Facilities to be microchipped for free:

  • Saturday 1 April
  • 9am to 3pm
  • 2 Depot Rd, Charmhaven or Pateman Rd, Erina

You can have your four-legged friend microchipped and registered, or update their details on the day, whilst accessing responsible pet ownership advice, educational material and products.

Why microchipping and registering your pet is important

Microchipping and registration are an important legal requirement when owning a pet and helps to ensure your pet can be reunited with you should they become lost. Microchipping also alleviates pressure on local Animal Care Facilities as it helps them to locate owners of lost pets or have them rehomed.

This is part of our aim to increase the number of identified, registered, desexed dogs and cats across the Central Coast.
