Christmas in Canada Bay

The City of Canada Bay has a jam-packed program of events and activities to keep families entertained.

Join our Christmas Elf Hunt by finding the hidden Christmas elves across our town centres. There are three elves hidden at each of the following eight locations:

  • Drummoyne
  • Five Dock
  • Abbotsford/Wareemba
  • Cabarita/Mortlake
  • Concord
  • Concord West
  • North Strathfield
  • Rhodes.

Prizes are up for grabs for the first person to find all three at one location, plus a special mega prize for the first person who locates all 24! The hunt will run from 1-15 December. For details, visit bit.ly/christmasccb.

City of Canada Bay Santa Tour

The City of Canada Bay has organised a special visit by Santa! Coming all the way from the North Pole, Santa will be dropping by between 18-19 December. He'll be stopping at each of our town centres in a special ride, spreading cheer and taking photos with families. Visit bit.ly/christmasccb to find out more.

Donate to our Giving Trees

As part of a charity initiative with the St Vincent de Paul Society, the City of Canada Bay has arranged six Giving Trees across the City. Bring donations of non-perishable food items, new toys, toiletries and gift cards to the following locations until Thursday, 16 December 2021:

  • Drummoyne Civic Centre
  • Five Dock Library
  • Concord Library
  • The Learning Space, Rhodes
  • Five Dock Leisure Centre
  • Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre (ground floor, opposite Coles).

Donated items will be distributed by St Vincent de Paul to help those in need.

Christmas carols

The City of Canada Bay has introduced a regular program of carols that you can enjoy throughout December from 6-8:30pm:

  • Wednesdays: Jellicoe Street Square, Concord
  • Thursdays: Fred Kelly Place, Five Dock and Union Square, Rhodes
  • Fridays: Church Street, Drummoyne

Community carols at Halliday Park in Five Dock will also be returning this year! Come along on Wednesday, 15 December from 6pm. The event is hosted by local charity Communities for Communities and sponsored by the City of Canada Bay. Visit bit.ly/carolshallidaypark for more info.

Magical Christmas windows

Local businesses have decorated their shopfronts to spread some Christmas cheer across the City. Tell us which is your favourite Christmas window and you could win a $200 voucher for a local business of your choice. Voting is open at bit.ly/christmasshopfront until Tuesday, 14 December 2021.
