City of Darwin Community Grants

Darwin City Council

City of Darwin is now accepting applications for the second round of its 2023 Community Grants Program with grants of up to $10,000 available.

The program provides funding for community organisations to carry out one-off projects that enrich the diversity of cultural, environmental, recreational, or social opportunity for Darwin residents.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said the priority would be given to projects that promote reconciliation, partnerships between community groups, and engagement of underrepresented people from culturally diverse communities.

"We want to support projects that are making a difference in our community and helping to build a more inclusive and vibrant Darwin," Mr Vatskalis said.

"When we work together, we can achieve great things. That's why we're encouraging community groups to come together and apply for a grant to make their vision a reality," he said.

The grants are available for new projects that take place between 1 January 2024 and 30 June 2024.

Applications close at 2:00 pm, 2 October 2023.
