City of Darwin wishes to advise of various council service closures and reduced opening hours over the Christmas and New Year period.
Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility will be operating standard hours over the holiday period with reduced hours on Christmas Day from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Kerbside collection will continue as normal.
City of Darwin's Civic Centre will be closed from 5.00pm on Wednesday 24 December and will reopen at 8.00am on Monday 5 January 2026.
Acting Lord Mayor Patrik Ralph said City of Darwin was committed to maintaining essential services for the community over the holidays.
"Over the Christmas period, various City of Darwin offices and services will operate with shorter hours to ensure staff can enjoy a well-deserved break with friends and family," Mr Ralph said.
"On behalf of the City of Darwin, I thank our community for their support throughout the year and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year," he added.
