City's new university prepares for results day rush

Exterior of new ARU Peterborough building

Construction of first teaching building for ARU Peterborough has been completed

Places are still available to study at the UK's newest university, ARU Peterborough, which will open next month to students after University House - the first teaching building of the development – was officially handed over by constructors Bowmer & Kirkland last week.

With A-Level and BTEC students receiving their results on Thursday, 18 August, ARU Peterborough still has a number of courses available in Clearing, ranging from Law to Accounting and Finance to Biomedical Science and Nursing. A full list of courses can be found at aru.ac.uk/Peterborough

Clearing runs until September, and is the last chance for people who wish to begin their studies at university in the autumn to apply. It is also a route popular with people who may have initially applied earlier in the year, but on receiving their A-Level or BTEC results, have changed their mind about what they want to study, or who have got better grades than expected and wish to explore other options.

A range of foundation year courses are also now available to support progression to undergraduate study.

Experts are available to discuss options via live chat online or on 01245 686868.

Professor Ross Renton, Principal of ARU Peterborough, said:

"We are delighted that our impressive teaching building has been completed and preparations are now well underway to deliver outstanding teaching at the start of the new term next month.
