A civilian NSW Police Force employee has been fined after a low range drink driving offence on the State's Central Coast this morning.
About 9.50am on Friday 8 May 2026, officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Highway Patrol were conducting stationary testing on the Central Coast Highway, Bateau Bay, when they directed the driver of a grey Volkswagen hatchback to stop for testing.
The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old man, was arrested after allegedly returning a positive reading.
He was taken to The Entrance Police Station for secondary testing, which allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.050.
The unsworn employee was issued a Traffic Infringement Notice for drive with low-range PCA.
His driver's license was suspended for three months.
