Clarence Valley Council's award-winning Youth Week program is back with a 10-day program planned to encourage creativity, courage, and inspire young people to dream big and take real steps to make those dreams happen.
The action starts with Live 'n' Loud at the Library in the Grafton Library carpark on Thursday, 16 April, where 14 talented young locals will experience the thrill of live performance and deliver a show guaranteed to rock Grafton.
The packed program continues with exciting activities, including a vibrant colour fun run in Maclean, an art & craft activities day in Yamba where young people can get creative and enjoy a free BBQ lunch, Youth Markets showcasing young people's handmade creations, a student-led Youth Run for Mental Health, free entry and slide passes at the Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre, and plenty more.
"We absolutely love Youth Week here in the Clarence Valley," Clarence Valley Mayor Ray Smith said.
"Collaborating with local services and artists is already a highlight, but having students lead events like the Youth Run for Mental Health in Grafton and the Youth Markets in Maclean is just incredible.
"We have so many young people wanting to make a difference in our community and Clarence Valley Council is so proud to support them."
This year, Youth Week joins forces with the April School Holiday Program, delivering even more activities for young people across the Clarence Valley during week two. For more information on the School Holiday Program, visit www.clarence.nsw.gov.au/program
