Clayton Utz has advised Harvest Road, one of Australia’s leading diversified agri-food businesses and a division of Tattarang, on its investment in a leading Australian innovator in plant-based meat production company, ProForm Foods. The transaction completed last week.

Perth based Corporate partner Mark Paganin and special counsel Stephen Neale led the firm’s team working alongside Harvest Road’s team, with support from lawyers Tyson Ginn, William Davies and Hannah Kim. Other core teams members were partner David Benson and special counsel Sam Fiddian (Intellectual Property).

ProForm Foods has invested more than $20 million in developing the taste and texture of plant-based meat to create products that replicate the experience of eating animal meat, with added health and environmental benefits, and a clean, short ingredient list. Harvest Road’s investment in ProForm Foods continues the company’s commitment to investing in the sustainable development of high-quality protein sources to meet rising local and global demand for plant-based protein.
