The first project in the food and beverage sector has been announced under the largest component of the Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI) Collaboration.
Around $113 million in grants funding will see Australian Plant Proteins collaborate with 2 other Australian manufacturers to transform the Australian plant-based food value chain. Their project will help transform local production to meet the increasing global demand for plant proteins.
This will help the sector create new skilled jobs and be well equipped to meet emerging market opportunities.
We expect to announce further recipients in the MMI Collaboration stream soon.
