A new all-weather roof and upgraded bowling surface has been delivered at Comet Bay Bowling Club, providing a major boost for community sport in Singleton.
Backed by a $1 million Cook Labor Government 2025 election commitment, the project has transformed the club's main bowling greens into a year-round playing surface protected by a purpose-built roof.
The upgrades will enable bowlers to participate regardless of weather conditions, improving player comfort and safety throughout the year.
The new undercover facility will also provide a flexible space for a range of events and activities beyond lawn bowls, strengthening the club's role as a local community hub while encouraging greater participation, connection, and membership growth in the years ahead.
The project forms part of the Cook Labor Government's PlayOn WA initiative, helping deliver 2,030 community sport and recreation infrastructure items across WA by 2030.
As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti:
