Coming Up In July

Feel like doing some chair yoga? Or maybe you want to try your hand at making a necklace? Or, better yet, what about doing some creative writing?

You can do all these things, and more, with the many events we have scheduled across the Camden area this month.

With more than 40 scheduled activities still to come throughout July, some of the highlights include:

· Fashion Swap, where you can thrift a whole new outfit by exchanging your pre-loved fashion and save your clothes from landfill, on Thursday 10 July, 2-5pm, at Oran Park Library;

· Necklace Making, where you can design your own unique jewellery pieces, mix cool beads, and colours and leave with a one-of-a-kind necklace you'll love to show off, on Tuesday 15 July, 3.30-4.30pm, at Narellan Library;

· Pilates Stretch, an introductory class perfect for all levels to help improve flexibility and core strength, on Wednesday 16 July, 5-5.30pm, at Narellan Library; and

· Camden Chess Tournament, where you're invited to sharpen your skills, compete in a friendly yet competitive setting and connect with fellow chess enthusiasts, on Thursday 17 July, 12-4.30pm, at Camden Library.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said she was excited for everything to come in the back half of 2025.

"July always starts off really strong with our annual Recycling Drop Off event usually scheduled on the first Saturday of the month," she said.

"And this month was no exception! We saw so many residents come down to Council's Depot in Narellan on the weekend to dispose of their recycling waste.

"And there's so much to look forward to. We've always got something going on and we cover such a wide range of interests too. There's something for everyone and I really encourage you to get involved."
