In view of today's reporting on my public statements made before the informal Agriculture Ministers Council in Stockholm and during the press conference, I would like to clarify that contrary to these reports I did not intend either through wording or intention to suggest any responsibility of the President of the Commission for a postponement of a decision regarding support from the crisis reserve of the Common Agricultural Policy.
I meant to simply explain that the President deemed it necessary to clarify any doubts and to bring the proposal to maturity before deciding to put it on the College agenda. Specifically, regarding the full implementation of the agreement between the Commission and the five member states and the abolition of all unjustified obstacles in the free flow of goods from Ukraine to these frontline member states.
