Committee Seeks Aboriginal, Torres Strait Water Input

Do you have the passion and expertise to influence Australia's inland waters future?

The Committee on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Water Interests (CAWI) is seeking members to contribute to high-level policy advice and engagement with governments and key stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national water reform and help ensure First Nations voices shape policies, programs and legislation affecting inland waters across Australia.

We are looking for people with experience in:

  • cultural and western water rights and interests
  • water science, management or policy
  • leadership and governance
  • advocacy and working with government
  • strategic communications
  • policy development and planning.

We welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from across Australia with diverse:

  • skills
  • knowledge
  • lived experience.

Paid positions available: sitting and reading fees are paid. Travel, accommodation and allowances are also provided.
