Hockey NT plans to use a $250,000 grant from the Territory Labor Government to improve lighting, and upgrade the pitch at its Marrara facility.

Halogen lights will be replaced with energy-efficient LEDs, while the restoration of the hockey pitch will transform the space into a multipurpose area that can also be utilised by other sporting groups.

The club is one of 52 organisations across the NT included in the latest round of Community Benefit Fund Major Grants, which has a funding pool worth $4.9 million.
