Community Satisfaction Micromex Survey

Micromex Research is undertaking a community satisfaction survey on behalf of the Cessnock Council by telephone, commencing in February 2023 for a period of two weeks. They will be calling people using landlines and also on mobile phones.

Micromex will be telephoning Cessnock residents to invite them to participate in a 15 minute survey that will enable Council to make decisions based on community priorities and satisfaction. They will be seeking 400 participants and therefore will be making quite a few calls across the local government area in this two-week period. They will always identify themselves at the start of the call.

Participants will be asked for their views on living in the Cessnock LGA, and questions about Council's services so we can gauge how we are doing. The survey will replicate the previous surveys, so we can look for trends and adjust our services as required. They will ask for demographic information that helps Council to analyse the results across ages, languages, living arrangements and localities. They will not ask for information that could be used to identify individuals, nor will they ask for information about money or bank details.

At completion of the survey, the results will be presented to Councillors and staff. Results will be made available to the community through annual reporting and in the end of term report for the Council.
