Following the federal election, Knox City Council will write to the new government to clarify its position on federal funding for commuter car parks in Boronia and Ferntree Gully.
Ahead of the 2019 election, the Australian Government announced funding for commuter car parks in Boronia and Ferntree Gully.
In both instances the funding was earmarked for the Victorian Government to deliver commuter car parks on state government owned land.
Council will seek confirmation of the new government's intentions to proceed with funding these projects and highlight to both levels of government the importance of engaging local residents, traders and commuters in the planning and design of any new infrastructure.
