Connie Benn Centre Honored at Victorian Early Years Awards

The Connie Benn Early Learning Centre has been crowned winner of the Victorian Early Years Awards 2025 in the category of Promoting Children's Health and Wellbeing.

At the ceremony on 6 November, hosted by the Department of Education Secretary Tony Bates and ABC's Jacinta Parsons, the Connie Benn team celebrated their alongside their colleagues in the early childhood sector.

The award recognises the centre's dedicated leadership, trauma-informed practice, and strong community partnerships.

With support from Heidelberg Psychological Services and State School Readiness Funding, the team introduced wellbeing coaching, sensory-rich spaces, and wraparound family supports - delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families facing social and economic barriers.

The win is a testament to the outstanding care, innovation and resilience our childcare staff provide to children and families in Yarra.
