The new state-of the-art Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Fraser Rise, is another step closer with construction commencing on the exciting new community facility.
The two-storey aquatic and leisure centre is Melton City Council's biggest ever capital project and will include aquatic and fitness facilities, allied health services, and community meeting spaces all under one roof.
It will feature indoor and outdoor pools, splash play areas, water slides, Australia's first dedicated water sensory space, a multipurpose events space and rooftop deck.
The all-electric facility is targeting a 5 Star Green Star accreditation and once complete, will be a destination for leisure, health, wellbeing and community connection in the City.
Kane Constructions will deliver the project on behalf of Council following a comprehensive tender process.
Construction over the next few months will include site establishment, excavation works and the pouring of foundations.
Council is funding this multi-million dollar project, supported by a $15 million contribution from the Australian Government through its Thriving Suburbs Program.
The new facility is due to open in 2028. For updates, visit New Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
