The Cook Labor Government has furthered its investment in the local innovation ecosystem with a new round of funding to the Perth Landing Pad.
The $150,000 sponsorship of the Perth Landing Pad for 2026 will enable the program to expand business attraction activities, strengthen international partnerships, and support global start-ups entering the Western Australian market.
With its alignment with key time zones and proximity to Asia, the Perth Landing Pad continues to play an important role in connecting WA to global innovation networks by attracting overseas start-ups to invest in the State.
Perth Landing Pad will enable technology companies to experience 90 days in WA through a guided program, with access to mentoring, local business connections, co-working and community spaces, and guidance on long-term residency.
Perth Landing Pad has also secured seven international Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) across India, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea, and Indonesia, strengthening global referral pathways and creating new opportunities for collaboration.
The renewed investment supports WA's broader science and technology priorities, while helping diversify the State's economy, create local jobs, support emerging industries, and drive international investment.
By strengthening global connectivity and improving access to new technologies, the Perth Landing Pad is attracting new businesses and investment to Perth, creating a pipeline of growing businesses and sustainable, high-value jobs here in WA.
