Victoria was notified of no new cases of COVID-19 yesterday.

This is Victoria's first day of zero locally acquired cases since the current Delta outbreak began on 12 July.

There are 99 active cases in Victoria - 95 locally acquired and four overseas acquired cases.

There are nine COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. Two cases are in intensive care and both are on ventilators.

The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,955.

Update: New Community Case

Public health actions are underway after the Department was notified today of a new COVID-19 case in the community.

The case is a teacher at Al-Taqwa College in Truganina. The acquisition source of this case is currently under investigation and household contacts of the case are being urgently tested.

The Department will support the school community in partnership with Western Public Health Unit. Transmission risks at the school are being assessed.

In the meantime, the school will close, and all students and staff will be instructed via direct communications to get tested and isolate until further notice.

The case is isolating and being interviewed. Exposure sites, when confirmed, will be posted online at Case alerts - public exposure sites. Check back often as details can change based on further investigations.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms whatsoever, get tested. To see where to get tested, visit Where to get tested.

Update: Outbreaks

Public health authorities continue to clear the remaining primary close contacts from Victoria's most recent Delta outbreak.

A total of 407 people were cleared yesterday as primary close contacts. Fewer than 3,000 primary close contacts remain in isolation.

There are currently 7,985 active red zone permit holders in isolation in Victoria. Around 1,200 were cleared yesterday.

A full list of current exposure sites can be seen at Case alerts - public exposure sites.

The Department regularly manages exposure sites that it doesn't publish online, particularly if these sites represent lower-risk exposures, or if they have comprehensive record-keeping and contact tracing measures, or if they identify small, private locations - including smaller apartments or townhouse complexes.

We continue to ask every Victorian to check exposure sites regularly, as they are subject to change based on follow-up interviews and further investigation.
