More than 350,000 Western Australian seniors are set to share in over $35 million in direct financial assistance, as Cost of Living Rebate payments begin to roll out to registered WA Seniors Card members.
The Cost of Living Rebate is paid annually to WA Seniors Card members, with singles to receive $114.20 and couples to receive $171.30 this year.
WA Seniors Card members have until 31 May each year to register for the rebate. Once registered, members do not need to reapply, unless bank details require updating.
For existing WA Seniors Card members who have previously received the rebate payments are scheduled to commence today, 23 July, but may take several business days to clear by individual banks before being received.
For new WA Seniors Card applicants and those who applied for the Cost of Living Rebate just before the 31 May 2026 cut-off, payments will be made over the remainder of the 2026-27 financial year as these applications are processed.
The rebate is one of a range of concessions and rebates provided by the Cook Labor Government to help older Western Australians meet the cost-of-living.
Other benefits of the WA Seniors Card include free off-peak public transport, and concessions on local government rates and water service charges as well as the Safety and Security Rebate, which provides a rebate of up to $400 after the purchase of an eligible home security or safety item.
The WA Seniors Card program provides members across the State with access to approximately $890 annually in total value for State Government concessions and more if seniors also hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card or Pensioner Concession Card.

"WA Seniors Card members continue to have access to a generous range of State Government concessions and rebates, including free off-peak public transport, and concessions on local government rates and water service charges.
"It also includes the Safety and Security Rebate, which provides members with a rebate of up to $400 after the purchase of an eligible home security or safety item."
