Griffith City Council has adopted its 2026/27 Budget, with a strong focus on maintaining essential services and delivering continued investment in infrastructure.
Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran, thanked community members who took the time to review the draft document and provide feedback.
"We value the community's involvement in the budget process and appreciate everyone who made a submission or engaged with us," Mayor Curran said.
"The feedback we received reflects the passion people have for our community. While it isn't possible to accommodate every suggestion in a single budget cycle, those ideas will help shape future planning and funding priorities."
Mayor Curran said Council had worked hard to deliver a responsible budget that balanced community expectations with long-term financial sustainability. "This budget invests in the infrastructure and services our community relies on every day, while ensuring Council remains financially sustainable into the future," he said.
