Latrobe City Council is reminding everyone to act responsibly at Lake Narracan near Moe this Labour Day long weekend.
Latrobe City Council and Victoria Police are working together to ensure compliance with Council’s local laws regarding no camping along the foreshore and rubbish dumping, in addition to water safety, drink driving and anti-social behaviour.
Boat users are reminded that speed limits apply on Lake Narracan – five knots within 50 metres of the shore and 40 knots in other areas.
A 0.05 blood alcohol limit applies to those over the age of 21 in charge of a boat, whether underway or at anchor. People under 21 must have a 0.00 blood alcohol concentration (BAC).
No camping is permitted anywhere on the foreshore of Lake Narracan. Visitors must take their rubbish with them.
