Council is inviting local visitor economy businesses to apply to be a part of the Shire's new digital wayfinding kiosks.
The digital kiosks, funded by the Victorian Government to support the visitor economy, provide a modern, highly visible platform to promote local businesses and attractions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The kiosks are located at Memorial Square, Colac Unearthed with a third screen soon to be introduced in Apollo Bay.
Council's General Manager Community and Economy Ian Seuren said having a presence on the digital kiosks is a valuable opportunity for local businesses.
"The kiosks are located in highly visited, central areas and can be accessed any time of day or night, providing an excellent opportunity for businesses to increase visibility and connect with visitors and the community," he said.
"It's free to showcase your business as a part of what Colac Otway has to offer visitors.
"Promoting your business via the visitor screens can mean greater exposure to people looking for experiences, services and attractions," Mr Seuren said.
The digital kiosks are designed to support businesses and experiences that contribute to the local visitor economy.
To be eligible, businesses must demonstrate a clear connection to visitor activity. This includes providing products, services or experiences that are likely to be used by visitors to the region, with operating hours that align to visitor demand, including evenings, weekends and peak tourism periods. Priority will be given to businesses that enhance the visitor experience and support Colac Otway's appeal as a destination.
Eligible businesses are invited to submit their information via an online form to take advantage of this opportunity and help contribute to a vibrant, connected visitor economy.
