Councillors meet to finalise budget and more

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council will hold an extraordinary meeting tomorrow (Thursday) to adopt a four-year Delivery Program, Resourcing Strategy and an annual Operational Plan (and budget). Councillors will also consider the Fees and Charges and set the rates for 2022/2023.

These plans represent Council's response to the community's expectations and priorities outlined in Imagine2050, the Community Strategic Plan.

Members of the community were invited to comment on the draft documents throughout May and 112 submissions were received which provided commentary, support or opposition to them.

Thursday's meeting will also include a Public Forum, where residents can complete the Request to Speak On Agenda Item form before 12pm Wednesday. This form is available at Council's offices or online at Speak in a Public Forum Port Macquarie Hastings Council (nsw.gov.au).

All members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting which commences at 10am in the Council Chambers at 17 Burrawan St, or they can stream it live online on Council's Youtube channel. A link will also be published on Council's Facebook page prior to the commencement of the meeting.
