- Structure complements school's heritage buildings and proud history
Rosalie Primary School is celebrating its 120th Anniversary in style with a new undercover activity space to celebrate many more occasions for years to come.
The $250,000 structure provides students with a space for physical education, play, assemblies and other whole-school community activities.
The structure complements the school's heritage buildings and delivers on a Cook Labor Government 2025 election commitment.
Rosalie Primary School was established in 1906 and currently has 447 students from kindergarten to year 6.
The school is marking the special anniversary with a range of activities, including historical displays and artefacts, a digital archive, student learning projects, a community memory wall, heritage plaque, commemorative tree planting, whole-school aerial photograph, and a community fun run event on Saturday, 7 November.
The shade structure was completed earlier this year and was constructed by Outdoor World.
As stated by Education Minister Sabine Winton:
"For 120 years, Rosalie Primary School has been an important part of the local community, educating generations of Western Australians.
"This is a significant milestone, and I want to congratulate the students, staff, families and wider school community who have helped shape the school into what it is today.
"I'm also thrilled that the Cook Labor Government can add to the school's heritage buildings by giving staff, students and their families a space for all occasions and to acknowledge many more milestones for years to come."
As stated by Ayor Makur Chuot MLC:
