Community Workshop To Help Shape Aged Care Services

Wentworth Shire

Far West Local Health District is inviting community members from Wentworth, Buronga and Dareton to contribute to the design of health services for older people across Far West NSW.

A community co-design workshop will be held in Dareton on Wednesday 2 December 2026, providing an opportunity for older people, families, carers and other community members to discuss the care people need and how they would like to receive it.

Feedback from the workshop will help inform the design of services that aim to:

  • provide care earlier
  • avoid unnecessary hospital visits and stays
  • help people leave hospital sooner when it is safe
  • address identified service gaps.
