COVID Quarantine Breach - Charges

Detectives from the Breach Investigation Team have arrested and charged a woman after several alleged breaches under the Emergency Management Act.
The woman arrived in Perth on a flight from Darwin on 19 November 2021 and was directed to self-quarantine.
It will be alleged the woman breached her direction on several occasions, including attending a clothing store in Fremantle, staying at an address other than her quarantine address, and not undertaking a 48-hour COVID test.
The 55-year-old woman from Leda was arrested and charged with five counts of Fail to Comply with a Direction, and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today, 24 November 2021.
