Covid Restrictions Lifted - Greater Darwin & Katherine

COVID-19 restrictions in Greater Darwin and Katherine will be lifted from noon today.

There have been no further cases of COVID-19 in the NT since Greater Darwin and Katherine went into lockdown. All close contacts remain in quarantine and all testing has been negative to date.

Daily wastewater testing in Greater Darwin and Katherine has returned negative results.

Keep checking in with The Territory Check In App everywhere you go, every time. Since lockdown ended there has been more than 1.42 million check-ins across the NT and more than 14.4 million checks-ins since the app launched on 30 November 2020. Checking-in allows our contract tracers to quickly undertake the critical work they need to should there be COVID-19 in our community.

Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is one of the best things we can do to protect ourselves, our family and our community from COVID-19 and get life back to normal sooner.

All people aged 12 years and over in the Northern Territory are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Appointments are available across the NT. Roll up your sleeve and book your vaccine today at coronavirus.nt.gov.au or by calling the COVID-19 Hotline on 1800 490 484.

Personal behaviour remains our best defence against COVID-19. Maintain a physical distance of 1.5m where possible and carry a mask with you for those times when you can't. Don't go to work if you're sick, and if you've got symptoms, stay away from others and get tested for COVID-19.
