The Northern Territory has recorded 11 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases from the NT outbreak to 51.
Ten of these cases were not infectious while in the community. The details of these cases are:
· Three children from the same family, two male and one female, whose parent is a previously recorded case. They are in quarantine at the Centre for National Resilience (CNR)
· Two are close contacts from Robinson River who are in quarantine at the CNR - case details are being confirmed
· Five are close contacts from Binjari who are in quarantine at the CNR - case details are being confirmed
The remaining case spent time in the Katherine community while infectious. The details are as follows:
· One female from the Binjari community, who returned a 'day five' positive test result this morning. She spent time in the community while infectious after leaving the lockdown area last night with three others. Police located the group, along with seven others, at a residence in Katherine just before 11am this morning. All 11 are now being transferred to the CNR. Urgent work is underway to contact trace and confirm details for any new public exposure sites.
Extensive contact tracing remains underway, with 471 close contacts identified to date for cluster two. Of these, 462 close contacts have been contacted and are isolating, 433 have returned a negative test and 199 have returned a second negative test.
Wastewater results for the period for November 21-22 for the Bicentennial Road and Binjari catchment sites in Katherine remain positive, which was expected given the recent recorded cases of COVID-19 in these areas.
In addition, a presumptive (weak) positive was detected from the Berrimah catchment site in Greater Darwin, with follow up testing being undertaken.
More than 3,500 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday. These included 172 tests in Binjari. This was the second round of testing carried out in Binjari.
The Katherine Hospital Pandemic Clinic (Drive-Through Testing Site) is open daily from 9am until 6pm.
The Katherine walk-in COVID-19 testing clinic is open daily from 9am until 6:00pm.
COVID-19 testing sites are also open in Greater Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Nhulunbuy. Testing is also available at NT Health clinics in remote communities.

The Katherine McDonalds has been upgraded to a close contact public exposure site for 13 November from 11am-11:25am due to four confirmed cases having visited the venue during this period.
Anyone considered a close contact must immediately self-quarantine and call the COVID-19 Hotline on 1800 490 494 so COVID-19 testing can be arranged.
Katherine Centrelink has been downgraded to a casual contact public exposure site for 15 November from 9.44am-10.36am.
Casual contacts are required to self-quarantine, get tested and remain in quarantine until a negative test is returned.

COVID-19 Vaccination
The vaccination rate in three NT communities has increased to above 70 per cent first dose. The communities are Galiwinku in East Arnhem, as well as Urapunga and Minyerri in the Big Rivers Region.
To reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading in our communities, it is important for everyone to follow all health directions and vaccinations for all those eligible.
