The CPSU has been calling for a review of Parliament House and its culture since last year.
We therefore welcome the announcement of an independent and broad inquiry into Parliamentary workplaces and systemic issues of bullying, sexual harassment, and sexual assault.
This review must lead to meaningful change - it can no longer be the case that standards of behaviour unacceptable in other workplaces go unchecked in the nation's Parliament.
We look forward to working with the Sex Discrimination Commissioner to make this a reality.
