We have recently completed some improvements to local roads in Five Dock and Concord to help reduce vehicle speeds and allow cyclists and pedestrians to cross the road more safely.
These included:
• A new raised intersection at Heath Street and First Avenue, Concord
• A new refuge island near the intersection of Howley Street and Ingham Avenue, Five Dock
• Speed cushions on Stanley Street outside Concord High School.
These improvements belong to our $7 million cycleway connecting Concord to the Bay Run, funded by the NSW Government through the Parramatta Road Urban Amenity Improvement Program.
