Council is proud to present Creative Minds, an annual exhibition celebrating the work of Nillumbik's emerging young artists from local VCE Art and Studio Arts programs.

The exhibition includes artworks by students from Catholic Ladies' College, Diamond Valley Secondary College, Eltham College, Eltham High School and Plenty Valley Christian College and highlights the imagination, skill and diverse creative voices in our local schools.

Creative Minds continues Council's commitment to nurturing artistic talent and to Nillumbik's rich artistic heritage.

Mayor, Cr Naomi Joiner said the exhibition reflects the Shire's long-standing dedication to the arts.

"Nillumbik has a proud arts heritage, one that has grown from generations of creatives and that legacy lives on in the extraordinary work of our young people."

"Our high schools continue to foster emerging artists whose creativity, sensitivity and technical skill are evident in every piece on display," Cr Joiner said.

The works on display explore themes that matter to the artists and respond to the world around them with insight and originality.
