Cricket Victoria is proud to announce a new partnership with Staying Alive Health, Australia's leading provider of defibrillator solutions and CPR training, to champion heart health and emergency preparedness across the Victorian cricketing community.
This partnership will focus on increasing access to life-saving defibrillators and CPR education at cricket clubs, grounds, and events throughout Victoria. By combining Cricket Victoria's reach with Staying Alive Health's expertise, the initiative aims to create safer environments for players, volunteers, and spectators alike.
Dylan Prescott, General Manager Consumer Business at Cricket Victoria, said:
"This is such an important and life-saving aspect of community sport. We're pleased to join with Staying Alive Health in bringing vital heart health resources to our cricket community. This collaboration will not only provide life-saving defibrillators, it will empower people with the knowledge and tools to act confidently in an emergency."
Through this partnership, Cricket Victoria affiliated clubs will benefit from:
- Access to fully monitored defibrillator solutions, including the Rotaid 24/7 cabinet system
- CPR and first aid training programs tailored for sporting environments
- Support with grant applications to fund defibrillator installations
- Awareness campaigns to educate communities on sudden cardiac arrest and emergency response
As part of this collaboration, Staying Alive Health will also be the presenting partner of the 2026 Cricket Victoria Local Government Conference, reinforcing their commitment to community engagement and leadership in health advocacy across local government and sport.
Ben Collins, Managing Director Staying Alive Health, added:
"We're incredibly excited about this new partnership with Cricket Victoria. Together, we have an opportunity to create real awareness around heart health and emergency readiness across all levels of cricket, from grassroots to Premier clubs. This partnership is about more than just equipment; it's about education, preparedness, and ensuring every cricket community is rescue ready."
"More importantly, it's about making a defibrillator publicly accessible and fully monitored that not only benefits the club, but also the wider community 24/7".
Staying Alive Health was founded on the belief that real change happens when communities come together. With over 30,000 Australians suffering sudden cardiac arrest each year, this partnership is a proactive step toward improving survival rates and building a culture of preparedness across Victorian cricket.
