Detectives from the Prahran Divisional Response Unit have located a large amount of cannabis in Malvern East as part of an ongoing operation.
The cannabis crop was located after an anonymous community tip-off alerted investigators to suspicious activity at the residence.
A warrant was executed at a James Parade property around 10am on 9 June.
No one was home at the time and no arrests have been made at this stage.
Police seized 178 cannabis plants as part of a hydroponic set up worth approximately $260,000.
